Oh shit, I finally understood what happened in the last chapter. Guys! The one behind the shaman's dreams and sleep walking was the spirit of his previous life, the messenger! Notice how his eyes suddenly turned white as if he's possessed and how he knew Emperor's full name at the end. It was him all along, dang it. He ditched his new life to stay with Emperor as a demon for eternity (that's a new level of obsession). The way he reminded the Emperor that his forgiveness belongs to him and the way he hugged him (⊙…⊙ ) it all makes sense now
