I’m pretty sure that was the daughter, haven’t read it in a long time
the empress got burned alive and her daughter got executed in public. they both went through hell but only the empress go back in time to fix her mistakes.
In the novel does the empress and emperor have a child and I know it won’t happened but I wished the mom got to experience something cruel for what she’s done in the past life
