What happens to the prosecutor? Will we witness his downfall? I love stories like this. It has the same vibe w/ lost things, into the thrill, beasts of desire.
if i remember, there were mentions of his downfall and how he is involved in a scandal but above all of that the prosecutor still wanna b seein lee geom crazy mofo. maybe in few chapters we will get more insight or that woulda been the last time we’ve seen him
yall. chapter 72. turns out it was reider there at their location, lee geom goes up to him saying “its been a long time” n shi and my god there was so much to translate.
in short, the chairman got sent to prison and to rest your poor minds, reider doesnt do anything to lee geom at all in this whole chapter and probably not any time soon. reider mentions how weak lee geom is now looking and how his attitude has changed to a softer spoken way, lee geom jst does a silly shrug. reider then asks hows the vacation, geom replies w something like, idk but its an ok response
i always thought lee geom and reider were so similar yet, turns out this chapter explained it, lee geom and reider always had the same hair-style, same black clothing and same ‘aloof’ attitude. this isnt the first time, prosecutor kwon also said something similar about how similar they are.
we got a dive into reiders back-story as well, he says “its because we have the same past” it shows a scene where, his father, hung himself (from the looks of it, didnt seem to be framed) because he was caught on sexual abuse on children, 37 victims i think it was. his father had high status, they lived in luxury. all this info was said on the news, his inheritance went to reider, his adoptive son, who was (i wasnt sure if it said least or latest) favourite.
anyways, wooyeon also wakes up, doesnt suspect lee geom is gone i dont think - but hes in bed, contemplating that what wouldve happened if he let lee geom jump, he thought he mightve ruined lee geoms only possibility to finally be ‘free’. it was hinted in earlier chapters that lee geom himself had said, the only way to escape was by death itself - i think this theme plays a big role in this. wooyeon was just thinking to himself, saying how lee geom is the most strongest survivor ever to be able to come this far for 8 whole years n shi. but yeah, back to reider and geom, reider then says he cant wait for what lee geom is going to do next, the next ‘scene’. specifically hinted on lee geoms, ‘revenge’.
