I think it does since even its appalling there are many people willing to give everything for their idols and such

I remember for boysplanet zhang hao's dcgall opened a pool for donations and then donated 100s of items like airpods and macbooks etc for votes. Actually instead of a couple huge prizes they split it into hundreds of prizes so it increases your chance to win so that more people participate in votes since votes are usually limited (final round was 1 vote per 1 account)
