But his really shit… even his Au counterpart didn’t really redeem him. I read the novel with an open mind that both characters from season 1 were both bad people, Aeroc for his jealousy and an Clough just went too far, out of anger or self gratification the motive wasn’t clear. I did understand that from revenge it turned into a conquest to simply destroy Aeroc, thinking that crying makes you human.

But reading his pov in vol 2-3. Clough reek with so much arrogance, he didn’t know Aeroc Teiwind, but because of his unexplained attraction he was rude and created a perception of Aeroc. His an arrogant and cold aristocrat because of that fake polite smile. His must be trying to insult me by showing off that omega in a green dress, that his rich and can have whoever he wants. He must be easy, because he smiles at approaching Alphas. Like where is all this coming from?

He created the animosity between them even in world 1 and it’s the same in world 2. The difference is Aeroc kept his distance out of respect of the promise, Aeroc was content watching a far and helping in the background. Aeroc held an extravagant soiree for Clough and Raphael, he gave them the best seats and invited Raphael and his favorite musicians. But Clough thought, maybe Aeroc is planning to play some sort of prank. Like why would he do this.. they were always bickering. You’re the only one who’s looking for a fight. And he even thought that maybe Aeroc had feelings for Raphael…

When Raphael’s dad who saw Clough for the red flag that he was, made them break up. In his head, that it’s a cold aristocrat thing. You beat up two nobles at a party, almost killing them, got blood on your lovers face, and expected his parents not to get scared that your violent (?)

When he finds out Aeroc was a omega. He immediately coerces him into having a baby and to marry him. You have no choice! His a selfish piece of shit… that’s who Clough is. The only redeeming part was he actually worked hard to be a support system for Aeroc. Because he realized that he can’t be selfish, if his seriously going to have a family with Aeroc.

In OG Clough’s own return. He could have just searched for Raphael and married him. But he pursued Aeroc. Au Aeroc doesn’t know anything, he didn’t dream of world 1 unlike Au Clough. But Clough treated him like a future sinner, expecting him to hurt Raphael, but at the same time he courted him. Hurting the clueless Aeroc.

And when it came to pass, and Au Aeroc didn’t do what Og Clough expected. He was mortified. He realized that he was the problem. He hurt so many people. Raphael because he failed him as a partner, that he could have been happy if he found a better partner. Aeroc, he realize that it was his inferiority complex, he destroyed him for all the wrong reasons. His children they were born out of his sins, and that he hurt them, he deprived them of a life with their mother. That’s why his suffering in his arc, because he knows that all he did was leave so much hurt in world 1.

I do think you need some reading comprehension. If you also read the novel, even without memories Cloff is exactly the same as he was before in world 1 arrogant, and rude. The other commentator already commented what I want to say.
