That's what bothers me with a lot of Isekai stories. Transmigrated MCs will take over the body of someone, then be so enmeshed with their new world's moral/cultural standards and have zero tensions with their original world's bred conscience. The way I almost forgot she technically isn't Penelope until I read your comment xd

Yeah, I began reading it again from the beginning, and she just takes this whole slavery thing so much in stride, like who cares? I mean, it's natural that she cares more about herself not dying, and I'm not asking her to change the whole system by herself, but she should at least feel some kinf of pity? ask if there's a way for them to not die?
To be fair tho- this whole game system is trying to kill her just for existing. Her main priority and the only thing ever is in her mind to reach 100% and survive. I think she is pretty preoccupied. Maybe once she is safe she can think of it. Like she is human too, when in such stressed situations everyone would have similar experiences. But yeah it would've been nice if they would've at least shown some concern from her side.

I don't like how casually they chat about slavery. Like, how dare those slaves try to escape, naturally they'll get executed! And her reaction to it is so weak. She's from modern times, she should feel more revulsion
