That feels like an alternate universe where she doesn’t return his feelings. The purpose of them dating now is to see if she can develop said feelings. And in the first chapters of the manga, she’d told him that if he did that once she fell for him, her reaction wouldn’t be so blasé if he cheated. As in he would regret it.

I was also thinking about ch 9.9, but it’s not written anywhere that the scene is set in the future, Yoshino wore kimono even during middle school and Kirishima wears suits when he works

I actually remembered that side chapter as the one which shows she didn’t give AF about him seeing other people since they hadn’t committed themselves to each other hey. Didn’t realize it was the one analyzed as a marriage scene.
