In Yaoi, the term for a couple who are not exclusively either the top or bottom position is "seke" or seme/uke. Using the first two letters of seme and the last two letters of uke. This is actually commonplace in real life gay relationships. Most couples switch positions, usually within the same love-making session. There are "exclusive tops" and "exclusive bottoms", but they are the exception, not the rule.
