Yeah, my thoughts exactly. I don't think TJ is crazy-possessive who'll keep Ian if it is not for his best benefit.
From the very beginning, I've always seen Ian as more in love with TJ but he just wants out of the gang violence. Sure, he's attracted and feels safe with Jo but his love for TJ seems really deep. He also feels attachment to his old gang that's why he gets himself involved again.
so i just finished binge reading this and my take is... i think tj would sacrifice himself (i mean literally die for ian) at the end of this all. like he would catch the bullet to save ian. idk just my thought after reading
