I don’t think he has to stop basic human interaction. I doubt Minato is that jealous of the boss, I think he was just insecure due to his trauma. Once they work on the trauma, I don’t think he will actually be jealous of the boss. If anyone to blame harshly, the boss, since he’s stepping over the boundaries.
And Shizuma is to blame for taking the trauma lightly and calling Minato’s jealousy cute. But other than that he’s pretty green flag.
They been working on the trauma for a while now. Hence why I said in the first line of my comment that working on it has been hard on Minato.
This is not about stopping basic human interaction. Basic human interaction is normally talking to your boss when in working hours. Not allowing the boss to drop him off for dates or joke around with their underwear. They’re not friends. If a friendship has been established, that would be a different scenario. But this is just a boss. Yet Shizuma keeps allowing the boss to cross the line. The dude doesn’t know how to set boundaries unless Minato tells him how. He’s weaponizing his incompetence. He doesn’t have any initiative. He’s always waiting for Minato to snap and tell him what he did wrong. He’s never actually putting in the effort. His efforts are always shallow because every time he apologizes, he goes back to the same pattern behaviors than before. That’s not actual effort.
It’s probably not easy to just tell your boss no/not to do something knowing how Shizuma is, that’s why I hope he sets boundaries otherwise he’s gonna lose this relationship as well. I think Minato has it the hardest.
The boss is the one crossing the line, I doubt Shizuma would allow him to talk crap about their relationship. But Shizuma needs to be more clear about the boss not crossing the line. He’s annoying me right now.

Japan society is fairly different from ours where we can freely stand up to our boss. But I agree that if your partner feels uncomfortable, Shizuma shouldn’t involve his personal life and say unnecessary things
no i meant that shizuma generally wants to be liked by his coworkers cause up to now they hated him and its quite clear he wants the boss to like him but that should only be at work lol. and here he is personally going out of his way to do something for his boss other than work so that kinda sucks

I get that Minato has bpd. And it’s been hard for him to work on it. But Shizuma keeps giving him reasons to doubt him. He literally knew that the boss is the one causing insecurities in Minato and the last fight and he went and accepted the boss to drop him off at his date with Minato?
