It was because that was the plot of the original story before Rosalyn slightly disrupted it. In the og timeline kahir loved her anyways and still managed to end the empress' Reign of power in the end

I knew Ella is stupid but not obviously THAT stupid, she knew the ml loathes the empress with all his being but she decided to have the empress introduce her to him??? Like why would he like someone that the person he hates introduces?
