I just said that ppl might confuse this author with the one of solo leveling that's also what I said in my comment. I am just confused I checked their instagram and I also couldn't find any article about their death. So I thought that maybe because the story is similar from solo leveling (aside the yaoi part-- you know what I mean) maybe they thought or confused the author from solo leveling with this author
The author seems to be dead, if you look at the last page of chapter 1 there is a dedication for 'late author dugo'. Dugo seems to be the author for this based on the credits
