naw I mean he pointed out that the press are having a FIELD DAY with this- there's no way his uncle-ish <whatever Han Gyu-Hwae is to him> could get close enough to touch him without arousing MORE suspicion/scrutiny- it was stupid, but as outs go? That was probably best case scenario with zero time to plan things out. Right now his only ally is Sung-Tae <ML> which is not great, but he IS the lesser of two evils right now. Even if he could, I think Gyu-Hwae has way too much power in the company for him to make a move on him WITHOUT the ML's help, who seems to be in a better position inside- which is why he propositioned him in the first place, and why he's still cooperating even through all the BS.
okay so i didnt want to jump into conclusions the last chapter but seeing how the MC confirmed it now… he said “we all knew there was something wrong with that whiskey” so like, what was the point in “confirming” it? he just uselessly put himself in the hospital, the ML knew the alcohol was spiked thats why he refused it but the redhead had to jump in and what? show off or something? i mean since from the beginning they knew the whiskey was drugged it wasnt like a big discovery, or am i reading into it wrong?
