the blonde hair is magic. brown is real. he is half human. he can wield magic to some extent but dont have the power of full fairy magic.
So I read a spoiler somewhere, Daniel is the descendent of the fairy godmother. House Casey has been blessed/cursed by a fairy. So, when Daniel mentioned a grudge of House Casey against Daniel, it must be the fairy curse. If the eldest sons of house Casey can't get married, it is Daniel's responsibility indirectly ╮(￣▽￣)╭
