they don't hate straight people, the hate women or works by women which are straight. Because those same people will be gobbling up straight seinen no matter how disgustingly objectifying it shows women or the plot. But for josei they will talk shit, which means they don't have a problem with straight, they have a problem with josei.

Dude straight omegaverse has long been a thing before bl omega verse. The only difference is bl omega verse is hella toxic while straight could be either sweet and romantic or “rejected” toxic stories. I remember reading omegaverse on wattpad ages ago and rejected mates was such a popular trope

Lol that doesn't make it more old than BL omegaverse. Wattpad is literally the youngest of the popular fanfiction sites (and funnily enough, one of the worst).

FanFiction. Net was the go to site back in a day. Currently it's Archive of our own also know as AO3. (you can literally search for ANYTHING, like so many tags to find things you specific ly want, you can download fanfiction, the site will legally protect you if someone tries to legally attack you for writing a fanfiction about someone elses work or anything like that). It's literally one of the best fanfiction sites (but first and foremost it's an archive).


So yeah, there is a very high chance before you even knew what fanfiction was, someone was writing bl omegaverse fanfiction of StarTrek or some other fandom. Not saying straight omegaverse is not written, just that there is a lot more bl works, and if someone mentines omegaverse most will instantly think of BL because it's so tied together.
