I’m a lil confused with chapter 3, DID HE JUST PROPOSE TO A CHILD?

It literally went from bad to worse cuz they’re being more obvious about it in these recent chapters. Apparently the ML wanted to r*pe the MC when he was 12 (this is mentioned in ch16)????? What the fuck And the author specifically wrote “12” years old too.. it wasn’t just a random unspecified young age
