I get your point but honestly, it might've been bcause subin and hyeonwoo never got the chance for a proper "closure" all these while, which is also due to hyeonwoo's too late of a realization that he's actually in love with subin too. Subin is also aware that Jun strongly despise/loathe/hate hyeonwoo and thus, despite being lovers, none of them had ever try to bring up the subject named hyeonwoo which is clearly a thorn in their relationship. I know im being a hypocrite for saying this but subin has been in love with hyeonwoo for a very long time and they are close friends for years, him thinking about hyeonwoo could've been out of habit instead of merely due to feelings of love. "Someone who used to be your everything is now nothing" would likey cause us to have a hard time moving on but with time (or maybe a new love), you will. The portrayal of constantly thinking of your past love in the story is pretty realistic especially if there was a potential for it to become something. For me, what matters the most is who subin wants to be with in life and it is obly Jun at this point :) Sorry for the lengthy words I hope my reply doesn't offend you ily

To be fair Jun is not a good bf also. I mean having the mother constantly telling Jun to marry a girl when he's alrdy been living with subin for 5 years is just pathetic? (I don't want to use this word I love Jun so much but i can't think of another verb). I mean he could've tell the mother he has a lover that doesn't want to get married without disclosing the lover's gender. I agree. Jun knows of Subins lingering attachment to H so he has been probably subconscious protecting himself by not putting his full self in the relationship because of this. Subin clenched his teeth though so technically he stopped the kiss. From now on Subin genuinely wholeheartedly chooses Jun so their relationship really starts here. Season 1 left a bittersweet feeling but this season seems to be ending with what feels like a new beginning.
