Why didn't we see his redemption arc??? His atonement and character development? He literally seems like a normal father now but where did it all come from? What happened in the 2 years we didn't see him? THAT IS WHAT I NEED TO SEE not ass pulls like this that force feeds us that he's a better person SHOW NOT TELL
