Second, I want him to win this match. I don't want him to lose a match. I don't think he would be humble that way. He has a trigger and that would trigger that trigger. He could hurt Dan.
If he loses it could make him deal with his past.
What I want to happen is for Dan to break his heart. It may happen how you said it but Dan could get mad and stand up to him and leave. This way they will both glow up and Jaekyung will grow up. Someone does not have to be defeat to be humbled.

Totally cliché but, I can see J being like "u did this on purpose, I saw u meeting up with the manager, ik it was u" [I don't think he actually believes that but would say it in a fit of rage]
Then he'll go win the fight, cool down by then, and read a note somewhere where Dan writes "ik u dont trust me anymore so it's prob best I'm not ur phys therp, I'll pay u back for everything, congrats on ur win, bye"
THEN when Dan comes back to pick up his stuff, J will be like WTF and Dan will explode saying "I deserve better, BYE!"
