Nope, I read the novel. He was merely an obsessive ML. He believes that if Penelope get kick out from the duchy, the two of them will run away and live together.

eclis was actually hypnotized(?) by Yvonne that’s why he was doing all those things to Penelope’s hardship. By the time he realizes he was hypnotized, he was so guilty and in an important moment, he sacrificed himself to save Penelope in return.
Was that just a prediction? can anyone confirm? Kinda confused since everyone has been hating on Eclis and his yandere tendencies (im team kallisto at the end tho).
