I have seen couple of shoujo plots like that and it's quite refreshing.
and then after losing interest, the capt goes for the mc *claps claps* happy ending happy ending
I hope the captain starts fighting the mc for Asahina but like at the end (when she inevedably falls for the mc) captain finds out she's a girl and loses interest cause he's actually gay
