if this is your first time reading esper/guide verse plots, i'm so sorry to tell you most of the OG stories were 80% repackaged ABO bl hornyness combined with dungeon+gate isekai (this isn't me dissing either, i like this trope) and the "guiding" is often euphemism for sex :')

like alphas, the espers are often instinctively down bad for guides, specially when they get massively injured or "use up too much power" they're required to frickafrack harder and legitimately go insane for it
