I have to agree. Imma be honest I love Jaekyung for the potential he has to be a fun character in the beginning. These past handfuls of chapaters; however, are really losing the plot and there isn’t a way to make the story too interesting from this point on atp.

personally i think the author is going way too far down with the personality of him being a red flag. it's just straight up abuse with no redemption. i can't see a situation where dan would ever be able to forgive him for everything he's done. pilwon 2.0

I totally agree. The humanity of this character is being destroyed to a point that the redemption arc may even have a weak start enough to develop that forgiveness from Dan. I will be very impressed if she can pull it off. Having a sob story for Jaekyung will be too predictable and not enough to excuse him.

Same. Jaekyung it’s actually my favorite character since the first chapter but in terms of plot this thing is diving south to hell because the point of growth is now being left to focus on what it could be Jaekyung’s backstory. Maybe because I see things as black and white and don’t believe in the gray area that I’m having difficulty understanding the point of interwinding Dan’s “coming-out-of-denial” to Jaekyung’s backstory.

Yea! Plus there's really nothing to latch onto the character to motivate me to like him during a “ redemption arc” The only things are that he’s ritch and hot! So are a billion of other main leads, like he can step to the side lmfaoool

For sure! I thought he was hilarious at the beginning of the story, now I’m rolling my eyes when he’s on screen bc takes every damn thing way too serious to the point where the Jaekyung from the first 20 chapters feels like a completely different character to the Jaekyung we have now, and I’m not a fan.
I also relate in not understanding! I’ve thought of how the story could play out from this point and honestly, there’s nothing smooth about it, in fact anything the author does with the continuing the plot, it will make the whole manhwa pointless, plus I don’t even consider it to be a “ BL” anymore.
I also feel like if this is supposed to be a manhwa for adults, using a cheap trick like a bad backstory is kinda hilarious considering the audience.

yep. even an orphan jaekyung will not make me feel bad there's absolutely nothing that can make me feel anything but contempt for him

So yeah, so much build-up on that fight, and it was unimportant. So, unimportant it is nearly forgotten by me. It was more about Dan, Jaekyung, and later learning about the loan sharks were involved.

I couldn’t agree more. In all honesty, I’m waiting more for Potato’s story than whatever is happening with these two.
