That’s what I was thinking.Also I think the way she had to escape from her mother because she was trying to make her responsible for her life is similar to her running from the ML.I kind of think cause of the trauma with her mother whenever someone has a big problem and they want help from Deadrace, she instinctively runs away. I think she’s afraid of helping someone at the expense of her own life again. Not to say what she did to the ML was right tho.
Omg yes exactly, especially since her father is definitely abusive. Not sure if he’s ever hit her but he’s definitely punched through a few walls. She went into total self defense mode. But yeah she sucks tho
Mannnn if the author focuses on Dedris or wtv her name is, they could really flesh out trauma and the effects of it on a persons psyche. Her mom basically made her unable to display any form of sympathy or empathy properly. If she’s in even the slightest bit of distress she abandons whoever is causing it. And I can’t blame her her mother is vile wtf. I feel it would be very interesting to see her trying to come to terms with her severe mental health issues and trying to actively fix them. The first step is she has to tell him everything. The ML clocked her when he said she feels rather empty yeesh
