true, people are just plain virtue-signalling, imagine if their gender was reversed, they will say the girl-Anakin will be too dependent to boy-Eris and that he should be his own person and not be blinded by love and follow the other person into the other world (ignoring that Anakin can be resourceful due to growing up poor, he could have been a mercenary or something of a freelancer if he's not a knight, our boy's frikking talented)

I feel bad at how some people hated the Anahkin side story, saying how he’d form resentment sooner or later for Eris and how he wasn’t given enough growth, or even a purpose.
Here’s my take on Anahkin: I believe Anahkin will find purpose on top of his relationship here. No resentment will form because resentment comes from missed opportunity, which our boy didn’t have.
Think about it… Anahkin would have died or wondered around had he not run into Eris. Him not following her into her world would have been a missed opportunity. That’s how I interpreted it. I hope this helps those who were doubtful of the ending
