Sorry for tha late reply, he is indeed trying to cure her because he believes that she needs to drink his blood to get pregnant her body being normal will not make her pregnant. And being mean no way he would be confused and worried that the child might be dangerous to her but he would take care of her and would be happy.
That would be difficult because she wants children but Hugh has past trauma and hates his bloodline he thinks that he can only bring a monster to this world. her pregnancy will be a surprise as they won't know when she conceived, but other than that things would be okay..
