Not everyone’s cup of tea

I really like it even if at the first chapters Paul suffered when she was prisoner and even though the emperor got concubines. Because let’s be real, the whole scenario was based on historical circumstances. In real life, the prisoners are usually tortured and abused (based on every country’s tearjerking historical facts ever) and the emperor needs to have a heir. At that time, Paul was not interested and the emperor have a responsibility. It’s a decision based on his position. He can’t be willful because of his emotional needs, the empire is still at the early stages since he just conquered those kingdoms. Like he said he wanted, he wants to stabilize the empire first and live a happy life but because of his unique circumstance with Paul, he decided to struggle through it.

Don’t prejudiced just because the author decided to do things according to the setting they envisioned. The story is great, there was no extreme no dog blood drama, just responsibilities that ADULTS needs to face.
