Only Potato saw Dan using the spray on himself, so it easily could be a malicious attempt to weaken JK (at least JK could have that idea after the photo AND the accident)
But he is dum, what more money could they offer to Dan for JK to think the opponent's manager bribed him?
exactly, Dan did nothing to compromise his character and even fell victim to the last attempt to disqualify JK via spiked drink, yet suddenly they doubt him? poor writing
I meant more if Dan was the one to tamper with it, why would he brazenly use the spray on him then be so visibly scared? Jk knows his personality. That he's not a good actor and knows that he's scared of him so it's bad writing that he would think he did it on purpose. Unless we're going down the route of JK being angry he let it be tampered with? I could understand that.

100% I hope JK has some faith in him. I don't hold out hope though. I just can't with this plot. On top of it all I'm finding it very boring

I mean IRL surely they'd make the guys that the opponents did something? Why would Dan do something to it and use it himself? So weird. Bad writing flag when characters do stupid things for plot convenience.
