Not at all, he’s still afraid of him, he literally tried to stab him and had an existential crisis and a crisis of morality of letting an entity that had his loved one’s body be around him because he reminds him of him. He also had to grapple of having an entity that doesn’t think much of living and sees no difference between life and death exist near him, as if he has to take that responsibility for the murder “Hikaru” committed because Yoshiki does know the difference. He has to take responsibility for having “Hikaru” around because he knows he’s a danger but he can’t bear not having Hikaru around. He’s terribly afraid of forgetting Hikaru so he has come to terms with having “Hikaru” by his side. He literally said that in the chapter where they visit the shed with their makeshift drawing video game. Yoshiki has taken responsibility of unwillingness to let Hikaru go and now is trying to live with “Hikaru” and keep “Hikaru” from doing heinous shit as well as he likes that “Hikaru” isn’t human and that he isn’t bound by the morality of humans and the rules they abide by. Dude it’s so much more nuanced that a wart or something

I can't explain it. Maybe it's cuz I'm a gay man myself and I have a deep interest in complex love and horror love (for lack of a better descriptors) , there was just smth much more raw for me in the feeling of love that won't ever be the way you might want it 2 be. The tenderness of a monster learning what it is 2 love or at least trying to and failing , instead having this awkward and eerie fascination and desire he can't place. it was beautiful 2 me.

That is an interesting concept and it really does tug on complex emotions but that was never the story, it’s not really about “Hikaru” learning to love or be human, he never will be human and he won’t have love in the same way or concept humans have, it’s kind of like that phrase that humans are the way the universe experiences itself, Hikaru’s body that “Hikaru” body snatched is kind of the same thing? Ish?? But you’re right,”Hikaru” still has that desire to be by Yoshiki and it might be a type of love that humans literally can’t comprehend, it’s not romantic or platonic or it’s just incomprehensible, idkkkkkk, isn’t that still occurring? That love? It’s just not overtly romantic

I think it's changed within the manga tbh , the desire at least , b4 it was way more intense it felt more "love" driven. (the concept ) I think it's more like , not love in the way we see it but as close as a concept to love as he can interpret and understand it. He feels the flames but doesnt know what they are , how they started , what kindling to use. And he'll never know really. This probably doesn't make sense. But it all makes sense to me lol , Hikaru's "love" is poetic. Especially combined with how Yoshiki receives it. Yoshiki is the biggest factor in all this. But oh well , everyone's opinions and interpretations are different I guess , I just hope the mangaka can fill hat hole with smth else. That intensity.
No matter what yall say, this story having bl erotic undertones made it poetic(?), eerie in a beautiful way and taking out the subtle romance in this is just turning it into a basic paranormal story. It is NOT a fujoshi pov or anything, there is something very interesting about two MALE childhood friends having a tension with each other (them being both male makes it subtle, nothing is told out loud but you can literally feel it. This wouldnt be the same with a boy/girl relationship as the romance for it would be so obvious and natural that it wouldnt really give the same feeling) with the scary paranormal set up and if you cannot see this/the difference then I dont think you actually got the story to begin with.
