He’s basically 100% good. Since villains are treated as outcasts he’s got more of a vigilante roll, but a lot of the villains are not really bad guys either. He goes out of his way to help people and stop anyone who’s really evil.
To be honest, the side of villains and heroes is in blurred lines. Heroes can be villains, and villains can be heroes; Not literally, but in character. They're only hailed by their respective titles because of how they awakened and how their power manifested. For example, villains are the way they are because they awakened from one of the deadly sins'... I don't quite know how to term it but yeah, that's the gist of it.
