ikr, that scene really fucked up, and not saying it should be normalised or anything, but it’s disturbingly so common among kids nowadays (ive read a lot of sexual assault reports since my father is a disciplined teacher at his all boys school) and i tell you what, these kids were neglected terribly by their parents likewise being left alone at home for so long or from divorced parents.

i think in most asian countries, children are the hope of the family and have to get good grades especially among Korean and Chinese (I’m mixed Chinese, so I know that pressure T T) they are academically competitive.
like in korea, it happens frequently that young teachers off themselves, because of the bullying they face from fucked up parents who push everything on others and never take responsibility as a guardian and parent. it still boggles my mind for example when I see in Korean webtoons how orphans or kids from divorced families get bullied because they are...like dafuq??????? by kids, cause they learn it from their parents at home obviously....or for being poor! like whaaaaaat?????

That is something very very disturbing that such plot keep appearing in omegaverse scenarios with minors and some other BL stories that aren't with minors. Like they are children you know. And it means they were majourly neglected and fucked up by their parents and the environments they grew up. But for some reason that is never a topic. Some omegaverse and bls kinda try to hint at that. Especially when they become adults or adults are also characters. But the way asians push their ego onto their kids and live through them, but then don't show the same energy when their kid is a fucked up twisted asshole that hurts others is so interesting. I see the same in my people (turkish people of today) and much more common and problematic in koreans. dunno if it is true in japan as well, as they are often so humble and meek in public to the point of self degradading themselves in the name of politeness...
