
Personally, it's because things are happening TOO fast.
There's only the minimum world building, and except for the ML and MC, and the few villains introduced, there was little exposition regarding the other characters (who are kinda important to understanding their world) i.e.
- why IS the father enabling this behavior of hers?
- was there really ONLY a singular abusive servant to Kian? Why is HE the only one so fixated with the MC's "honor" and stuff when the others couldn't be bothered? (Since it's assumed the rest doesn't really bother with Kian unless ordered to)
- what's up with the eccentric painter? HOW did they became friends (shown implicitly, but would've been nice to shiwn explicitly to help us connect w/their society)
- and so and so
Why does this have such a low rating? I’m confused. It’s better than others I’ve seen here with similar or semi-similar plots. Plus she has made it clear he isn’t a slave anymore
