I don't get the people who continue to read but also rage despite knowing the top is a red flag and the author hasn't exactly been shy about their sketchy content thus far. Even more so the people angry he went back to Jiskar as if we didn't already know that Jiskar is the ML. Like, did you really expect them to not get back together???

Anyway, it's not that I don't get some of the complaints like the massive age difference, but it's season two at this point can you keep pretending like you didn't know but kept reading anyway? This world is like Game of Thrones and while it's fucked, it's not inaccurate in it's portrayal of royals and nobles who did whatever the shit they wanted to people with the power they had.

Life isn't all rainbows and sunshine and sometimes - wait for it - people write about said aspects of life.

The smart thing to do is if you don't like it, don't torture yourself by keep reading, and especially don't torture those who enjoy the story with all your insufferable complaining that could have been avoided if you just stop reading the moment you realized you were squicked out. Just saying.
