This manga was so beautifully made, and the characters had such depth to them. They have such quirks and imperfections that can make one a bit hesitant, but it's so realistic.
Given how realistic the manga was trying to be, I find that the ending wasn't solely sad, but bittersweet.
Sada got to rest peacefully, he got to confess his feelings and he got all the extra time needed. It was never going to work out, their situation was too complex.
The scientist may not have been able to perfect his theory but, towards the end, it wasn't about the theory. It was about Sada. He just couldn't recognise it until the end.
Now they are together, it may not be ideal but i think its sort of beautiful in a way.
