I'm so disappointed. Like I was expecting this "happy ending" from the start and sure it is but I don't like it. The relationship is so toxic... The beginning was so questionable. I wished the MC didn't go back to the ML or at least the ML suffered or got on his knees and begged for forgiveness. By the character properly apologizing I can always feel a little relief in a questionable story line. Like mmh okay if that's what the MC wants he'll forgive him. I respect that. But the dude was just bad from start to end. He kept making bad decisions. He treated MC as a slave first and blackmailed them and took advantage of them when they were in an emotional and physically vulnerable situation. And he never even apologized like bruh. And then he broke up with him randomly by trying to be this "I can't corrupt him. I can't keep hurting him anymore. I don't deserve him. I need to bring him back to the light." WELL BITCH TOO DAMN LATER AFTER ALL THE TERRIBLE FUCKED UP SHIT YOU'VE DONE. And the ML only changed when he "fell in love" with MC he didn't treat him as terrible as before but he still sucked ass.
AND THAT ENDING? TURNS OUT THE ML KNEW MC'S MOM WHEN HE WAS A CHILD CAUSE SHE SAVED HIM FROM A BAD SITUATION AND HE EVEN MET HIM BEFORE GOING OFF TO AN ORPHANAGE?????? I just KNOW the mangaka inserted that plot twist last minute. Anyway I can't really be happy for them. I mean sure okay it's a "happy ending". But the start of the relationship was so unstable and Kuroe is literally a neurotic sadistic psychopath. Yeah no. One of the worst MLs I've read.
