Why is everyone so obsessed with having children? Adopting is just as good, maybe even better because you're doing a lot of good giving homes to children in need, and reducing the human population which is already way too large.

I really can't imagine being born as a man and then being told my purpose in life was making babies, that's overwhelmingly degrading. At least in real life if you're born gay you can choose if you're on top or on bottom, and even woman in progressive countries can live their lives as they wish because they aren't told that their purpose is baby making. Living your life with these strong stigmas on how you should act based on sex is third world stuff.

omega verse isn't an overly cruel fictional society at all. and this is manga, you have to create some sort of conflict in order to have an interesting storyline - if 3rd party/affairs are out, the authors often use societal prejudice as a premise for outside interference ...
I don't know about you but I live in Northern America so I'm treated very well. And simply because it's so relatable to how badly woman are treated in less progressive areas, I don't want to read about it. It's not like I'm denying the abuse that goes on, but I'm not gonna derive pleasure from reading about it.

But it's the older generation that's mostly mistreating the omega's in this manga because they are holding onto old ideals. and it is quite true to real life where the older generation is the one who mostly criticize women for not having children or getting married. the younger generation are the progressive thinkers in this manga. You don't have to derive pleasure from it, but you can see that the author has created a situation that's very similar to real life.
