Real, As someone who like to read comments after reading the story, calling Mc a spineless bitch because he is a strong Esper and can fight back is straight up dumb. Mc is willing to compromise his own comfort because 1. ML is a guide that he desperately
needed bc he can't stay too long on drugs
2. ML is someone that Mc had good memories with, even though in the end his trust is broken by.
Mc was willing to literally brush of their past because he will explode or something without a guide... That is until the writer makes a U-turn and be like, um Mc actually love ML, i mean I'm tired of hearing this happen irl, I don't need it in fictional world as well.
Also screw the ML, I can only imagine he actually redeem himself through countless supression of his stupid love ego and what not. Was a little satisfied when Mc punched him during the confrontation...

its not as simple as a "just step up" "learn to defend" where u can clearly see the MC getting played like a puppet in the palms of the ML. if i sound like im justifying any of them i can assure you i am trying not to, the MC clearly has lingering feelings or a sense of guilt for whatever reason which is why most of you see him as a "spineless bitch" because well how would i know
