i also like r&c better its actually a favorite of mine(it even inspired my username lol) despite being toxic and unhinged leewon and caesars relationship has a kind of nice balance, they seem like equals and they do love each other in their own ways, hell im actually obsessed w caesars unshakable loyalty, obsession and separation anxiety when it comes to leewon lol
but in comparison, iltaes relationship is more based on ilay finding taeui interesting, like some new plaything. ilay is a psychopath, lacks empathy, doesn't really understand emotions and he doesn't realize his feelings for tae and my boy taeui didn't even want to be associated w/ him in the first place, so ofc their dynamic will lack the romantic development. that lack of feelings makes his fixation for tae even more of a black flag for me. aside from that, he also murders countless people for no reason even before meeting tae. tsars actions have an explanation like he was basically raised like a wild animal, neglected by his parent, surviving countless assassination attempts and becoming a fitting heir for the mafia. he doesn't want to be abandoned or betrayed by leewon so he acts in that way to protect himself from getting hurt. but ilay? that psycho commits atrocities for funsies and everyone else is like yeah that's just riegrow alright. hence why i said as an individual he's a crazier guy in general than tsar.
i finished reading this and i really don’t see any progress within their relationship/dynamic. there should be something at least after almost 90 chapters. and how is he more insane than ceaser? he is not at all. ceaser was obsessed because he was in love dangerously. but i don’t see ilay’s feelings at all. only in a few chapters. the story looks like more focused on army nonsense. even xinlu looked more hooked on him lol i hope in the next chapters i see more passion between ilay and tay. because it kinda gets boring..
