I guess, father got a poor noble as duchess and Janet thought she would have been chosen as duchess due to her obsession with Duke. It calmed down with calcion being born a little. But her obsession was just the same. I think she wanted him to see and respect her as a mother.
What’s the relationship between ML’s parents again? Translation was kinda messy, but like, were they good couple/parents? Is just Janet’s who’s delusional? Like it’s pretty obvious she desires his dad.
