Everyone says he likes Chan-ill but he really doesn’t if you think about it. He doesn’t like Chan-ill he just likes how he reminds him of Minwoo and is still helplessly clinging on to his past and, Minwoo. He said himself that he’s projecting Minwoo onto Chan-ill and that he wants to have a different ending with Chan-ill than he did with Minwoo, as if he had a second chance to make it right.
Skylar means sky and Cirrus is a type of cloud. Sky can exist without clouds but clouds can't exist without sky. And sky is focused on sun(Chan-il means sun in korean.)
