I find bobom more natural as well and this is why I chose it when I translating the 1st chapter, but the majority seem to prefer ba-dump/badump coz it's more common, hence the change. But thanks for your opinion! I'll think about it for the upcoming series ^^
The mangaka has done 3 stories up to now (2015-2016) hope they'll do more!

Also, am I the only one who prefers the "bobom" sfx because it sounds more natural? Idk haha
