Even it just a marriage contract, it affecting sasya mental health badly. He was on drug again because of depression and in delusional near to lake where he fell. George assume it as trying to commit suicide. Poor sasya. He really don't deserve this

It is so much worst after this. The amount of Sasya suffering is endless. Ppl say he deserves this because karel had suffered for him but i don't see sasya fault as much i saw in karel. He didn't left Karel, he left the house. If you had mental illness it would drove you crazy while staying alone for years. Where is his fault when he wants to be someone better while waiting karel at other place? He can distract his mental delusional if he got things to do isn't it? When karel take sasya crime, sasya didn't ask for it, it's karel who propose the solution. Sigh... Why so much ppl couldn't understand the real problems here. So sad for sasya..

sasya was mentally unwell before he even met karel. it’s weird that people are saying he deserves it when he’s honestly is/has been going through a lot worse than karel did /: weirdddd
the marriage affects sasya real bad, his mental health worsens and he starts hallucinating real bad he almost dies, also Karel’s getting married to the duchess, and it’s a contract marriage, however eventually (there’s still loads of shit they go through) they live together till old age, and sasya dies of natural causes, (their old by now so they lived together happily for years) and as soon as sasya dies karel commits suicide as he wants to be with sasya forever, so it is in fact a happy ending in a way, so don’t feel too depressed as everything falls into place eventually
