Nah... it's not that I don't want him to help her. My point is: he compared himself to Hayoon in wanting to help her like she did to him (having her feature in his album). But he is not on the same level as her! She calls him oppa cuz they are close, but he should call her senior, because unlike him she is an estabilished singer!
Think like this: let's say V from BTS is making a solo algum, sees some random on yt singing well, finds out his company wants to sign him and meets him in the company and invites him to do a collab/feat. Now people have a vague idea of who the random is, some recognize him by name because the music is a hit, but they don't even know what he looks like cuz he didn't even promote with him. Then a couple months later he invites another random that's not in the industry to participate in his first album. The 1s album of someone barely known with a feature with someone even less known of.
And he even got on a festival's stage behing the company's back. The only reason he got no trouble with this and having her on his debut album... is massive plot armor. That is what I don't like.
He is appreciated in the company and know they are trustworthy. The logical thing to do in his position would be sending his agent and that team leader to recruit her. If he told them her name and to go to that festival and see what they think would be enough. They'd see her talent and sign her as trainee and help her boost her confidence in their way. I bet she'd be more open to accept that than what he did.
Honestly, the success he have now makes little sense because there's no effort in his part to better himself as an artist compared with his last life. Asides the "be confident" he didn't train his vocals, didn't train to play instruments better and didn't learn to write/produce better. It makes it seem as if he was that perfect from the start... but if he was he wouldn't have failed and given up in past life.
This is the point in stories where mc is "powering up", learning to do things better than before... training his voice, learning new techniques, making many musics and lyrics and perfecting it, finding his own musical style (so he doesn't get stuck on Freddie's image). Instead he is focusing in making a music focusing on another artist featuring it.
That's what irks me.

Yeah but I do get why they'd think like that too. 3 reasons mainly:
1 - He died in her place so whatever he owned her in that life was paid there.
2 - He was sent back to spread his music not to fulfill others dreams. So let her live her life.
3 - It stinks of romance. You read comics. You know. Comics go to sheet when authors try to put romance in it.... it also stinks of harem... which is disliked too.
That was the shortest I could write... xD I can elaborate more on each but it basically that...
In one sentence:
It's selfish, but readers want to read about mc, not about a side character that'll just become an harem member. ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭

Yes. I'm currently reading this right now and I'm at the college performance chapter...... He's acting like he's already a top star as well.. Like bro... You 2 are strangers right now and you're doing all these things that are just so ick...
Also the way he kept smiling at her........ Bro....... Are you there for music or to flirt...... They're not close! He shouldn't be acting like that. Of course she'll get more nervous and wary! It's just so cringe! Argh! Also can we have some male artist to collab with him?! I hate stinky harem vibes as well.
I agree with some of the other comments he should have asked his manager to see her perform and then see what happens. Not like this. He's not working at his own company anymore. He's a singer that hasn't even debuted. Why would he think that having a rookie guest on a rookie album would be a good idea?!
Also I have a question. If he was this much of a genius why didn't he succeed before? I doubt it's just confidence issues. Is he receiving some kind of buff from the music immortals??? All I see the immortals did were to chat with him and give him encouragement. It's just so weird that Tada! He's suddenly this musical genius that made it to Hollywood. The plot is just pushing us to this unreal make believe bs. If he was such a great singer how come nobody even noticed in the past????
The author didn't make it clear if there was a cheat or if that's all his talent.
Compared to the other webtoons where we see characters grow (with or without cheats) this is just so awkwardly portrayed and causes confusion.

Exactly this! No reasonable explanation for his talent nor if it's a cheat or he had from beginning... and if he had there's no explanation on why he didn't succeed in past life... even as agent/producer/songwriter...
I'll keep reading, but certainly won't take it as seriously as other showbiz comics...
Some of yalls comments tell how greedy yall are. if you were given a second chance, you wouldnt help out the person you owed so much to in your first life? your just take all the success and watch them struggle? Yall wrong for that
