this!! they are both experiencing an insane amount of trauma. she feels guilty over it all and he has no idea how to handle all of this. she feels responsible for him, and while it's clear she does love him her guilt is outweighing that rn. and he is so hurt he would rather shut her out than allow her to properly process. tbh he's preventing her from healing but not allowing her to stop taking on all the guilt

exactly!! I love this one, it feels more realistic. so many stories will add traumatic scenarios just for "fun" but skip right past the reasons as to why it is traumatic! it is so odd to cast the blame solely on astina. she needs space to heal. to her the past is incredibly recent! same to terroid! idk why they expect her to just forget everything that happened to her so quickly. it would be an injustice to the story and theo if she did!!
