How are some of you seeing this as boring?

Other than the insufferably inconsistent art style, I find it hard to understand how some of you paint the story as boring.

Personally I feel like the pace is just right and I like how they juxtapose glimpse of MC's past during relevant expositions throughout the story. Unlike others where we get catapulted to episodes of backstories unexpectedly.

I also like the consistency of the characters, it really felt like these characters fit their image and their age well, even when they're their younger versions in the backstories.

It's also EXTREMELY RARE for a BL confession scene to be an ACTUAL CONFESSION of feelings and emotions, rather than the cliche exchanges of just "I love/like you"s, or the main couple having to " rewrite the stars" (yes the song and its meaning. Just look it up if you don't get it)

I get you're entitled to your own opinion but I'm genuinely curious about y'all's perspective with finding the story boring.

Personally I could hardly consider this a healthy relationship (⌐■-■)

I just said the story was good but, I didn't say the relationship was, and here's why.

Seme was basically (mildly) groomed to turn bi/gay/pan. Uke was even self aware of that fact. Uke took advantage of Seme's innocence and kindness (and virginity ¯_(⊙_ʖ⊙)_/¯).
Seme is just deadass clueless of his fxckboii vibe, I mean homeboy is completely aware uke is as straight as cooked spaghetti and even VERY vocal with him being Uke's fap material, but he still leading on Uke like it's a sport when he ain't gay himself? Nah that ain't just curious, homeboy was on mission to prove a non-existent theory.

But I have to agree the bar was set so low that even Satan is wondering how to reach that depth.

Still love the story nonetheless. I'm a twisted motherfxcker anyway. ヾ(❀╹◡╹)ノ~

I would not use the word groom here tbh. When they met yes the uke was attracted to the seme but he didn't know he was a high schooler or a minor or barely legal adult at all. That is to say when they met, age didn't play a part in the attraction it self. Uke also had no intention of actually sleeping with a barely legal adult, he had refused to even take comp for his phone getting damaged bc he was a minor. I'd say the intention matters.
And if we talk about them having sex, the first time they did uke was drunk and seme was fully concious. That is dubcon no matter how much the uke said he consented. He was emotionally unstable and drunk on top of that. And the part about fap material, again he was drunk. Uke was attracted to the seme from the get go but his age is what made him off limits for the uke.
I don't think their relationship can be considered the epitome of a healthy relationship but it also isn't as unhealthy since they both do encourage eo to do their best by being there for eo. That is what matters more in a relationship imo. They also haven't shown any kind of unnecessary jealousy or intention to isolate their partner.

I agreed with this opinion on most part. I think people are kind of missing the drama and misunderstandings that most authors put in to spice their stories. Most of which is very frustrating tbh. The writers write shitty stories with shitty characters and people consume them bc well what option do we have and since people consume them writers write even more of the shitty stories with shitty characters, it is a vicious cycle that has lead to this space in BL where actual good stories are rare and most unnecessarily dramatic ones are considered to be the good stories.
