I think she stayed out for a night or two before Seta found her on accident (this is in chapter 14). You have to understand that 1) She does have a confidence issue and 2) this is a time period when women are not supposed to be out spoken. That being said, I think the fact that she was establishing ground rules in terms of him having a mistress was good of her. The reason being that while she’s not fighting to keep him to herself, she is still establishing herself as his wife and what she expects as a wife. Again, due to the time period and her own feelings, it’s not surprising that she’s not telling him don’t do it again. That is… until he said that he was done with his playboy lifestyle, in which case she did more or less say”don’t do this again”.

I know that for more modern sensibilities, this may seem like a weak response, but given the time period, it was pretty bold of her.
