I expected him to actually beat the crap out of Cirrus too, and that didn't happen.
Many also said that it was because Cirrus mentionned Minwoo which is why Skylar beat him up, but it wasn't the case neither.

He did beat him, but from what people were saying I actually thought that he'd BEAT him. Like, throwing him on the ground and kicking the shit out of his guts or something. Which didn't happen, he only landed a very hard punch.

Doesn’t matter, the point is he still was beaten haha. Also he was beaten till bloodied, that is not right at all (not saying you said it’s right, just adding it here).

He didn’t give just one punch but multiple unnecessarily. And to cause bleeding, yeah Skylar went too far. Both were wrong clearly but readers love to pick and choose.

i mean to be fair it looks like he tells cirrus to stop repeatedly but he doesn’t and skylar hits him like 3 times. and generally manga artists draw blood and bruises to just depict that they have been hit, not necessarily to show the severity of it. still not okay but i’ve seen waaaayyy more people making skylar out to be evil when cirrus went just as far, maybe even more so, especially with the controlling behavior AND chucking him in the neck with a cup AND clearly not respecting his boundaries at all

Idk about who’s worse and who isn’t but I do know that they’re both wrong and Skylar didn’t help by triggering Cirrus’s trauma by beating him up while knowing Cirrus has trauma related to physical abuse.

Whereas Cirrus didn’t know and unintentionally hurt Skylar. As for the controlling behavior, I agree he went too far as much as Skylar did. I just don’t promote physical violence. And Skylar has a habit of hitting even before Cirrus threw a soda can/juice at him.

ofc i also think they’re both in the wrong but i also see so much of excusing cirrus’ actions because of his obsessive attachment to skylar.

i also don’t agree that cirrus was completely innocent in bringing up what happened in middle school. he’s not dumb he obviously knows something hurtful happened in middle school that skylar doesn’t want to talk about. it’s also been shown that he’s extremely manipulative. so it’s not an oopsie by any means imo.

The author clearly showed the severity of it so yes. I think you’re confusing explanation vs excusing. There may be some excusing Cirrus’s behavior but there are also those who excuse Skylar’s behavior. So it’s not just cirrus fans.

I never said Cirrus was innocent. I’m just saying he doesn’t know the severity of Skylar’s trauma to realize the full picture. Nor did I say it’s okay to hit him with a can of soda/juice.

if you know it’s not okay to hit something with a bottle then shouldn’t it be obvious that skylar punching cirrus multiple times (check the sound effects, there’s multiple POWs) until he’s bruised and bloody is wrong? it doesn’t matter what cirrus said, that doesn’t excuse skylar literally assaulting him instead of using his words
