He’s an unapologetic r@pist, there’s nothing the author could possibly do to make me sympathize with the alpha lmfao. I want him in JAIL. I want a whole story arc where he’s in court being prosecuted for kidnapping, r@pe, and sexual assault charges. Some characters don’t deserve a ‘redemption’ arc and the alpha is not capable of being redeemed, especially if that means he could end up being a couple with the beta, because then it would be a r@pist dating his victim. The alpha literally shows no remorse for his violent disgusting actions, he’s literally asking ‘why me, why are these things happening to me’ and it shows a glaring lack of accountability or guilt.
but were talking about the standards of bl, half of the mls in the bl genre should be in jail for at least 5 years of their life but they all get by with a couple of tears, some with nothing but pathetic make up sex with the mc. its frustrating and stupid and i agree with you on alpha, im just saying authors DONT do this. i like that hes suffering and getting fucked over because its what he deserves. im just saying based on bl tropes and how im seeing this.... hes definitely ending up with mc... so honestly, if anything, this sort of redemption is something if anything at all
id like to add also i do not and will never accept this sort of redemption, not in fiction or real life, but im telling you rn they are most certainly ending up together or itll be some timeskip situation where they meet again and its an open ending. either way.. i mean youre reading bl :/
I just hope the alpha ends up sad, alone (preferably in solitary confinement in a prison), and far FAR away from the doormat beta who will 100% take him back after a few crocodile tears

I am this author’s biggest hater I stg, like there was absolutely NO need to make the alpha a r@pist but the author did it and said “not only is he human garbage, he feels no remorse and would do it again” like how tf are you planning to write him as end game and give him a redemption when you cut off the only avenue for a reader to possibly empathize with (him feeling immense guilt and being accountable for his horrendous actions/crimes)
yep, i do like how they are writing a redemption arc like this. you don’t see it often with other toxic bls like you mentioned. so i really want to see their take on redemption, especially for the alpha.
i feel like you guys r not giving author enough credit for writing a redemption arc for an asshole character, like ima be the first to say i fucking hatee alpha lowkey prefer omega (hes also horrible for what he did) but again i feel like the author is doing such a good job at showing that pitiful self-blame and guilt as "karma" for what he did, and even him acknowledging it, much better than most bls that have an asshole ml. like i bet half of yall read painter of the night and probably ended up liking the ml/couple at the end so is there rlly much of a difference? again, fucking hate alpha and am so glad hes suffering like this and realizing his wrongs, but thats like the whole point- that the author is setting up a good redemption IF they do end up together (i REALLY HOPE THEY DONT i want the mc to be off on his own but thats obviously not gonna happen). i guess i just felt like everyone was putting him in the 100% bad evil black area when i see him as a bit more gray with room for growth and forgiveness considering how hes reacting rn
