I feel the same way, Yu should've just politely ask about the whole situation and Takamada's relationship with his family to understand it better rather than going into conclusion and giving advice right away. But let's spare him because he could be a super awkward person at times, he doesn't have ill intentions and just wanted to somehow calm Takamada down...
I’ve always felt uncomfortable when a character in a story just tries to give advise about a family relationship despite not knowing anything but the bare min. It’s even worse when they compare it to their own situation, especially if it’s a dead family member. Like why can’t the uke just ask about the situation and get context before giving shallow advice?
