I think the author just doesnt go into depth with the dad very much cuz shes writing from her own experience

it’s not about how much we’re seeing him it’s about the way he was acting, facial expressions etc. he wasn’t exactly excited or something
Some people are not good at expressing Its both their first time. But I get you — Mr Dad was kinda bothering me when he kept berating the thought of having a baby boy. I understood him not getting what MC meant in the beginning but after that — eh. I mean, both the MC and her Husband were very low in expressions in the beginning. I would’ve thought that the MC didn’t exactly want this if not for her thoughts. That’s why I would’ve loved to see what the Husband was thinking about ngl.
her husband doesn’t seem to want to be a father. it’s almost as though she’s married to a teen….
